All Stars is over!

It was fun while it lasted but I'm happy it's over too. It's just too hot to play baseball during the Arizona summer months. We have a short break and then head back to tournament ball with the Cougars in August. The boys will then move up to the 10u age bracket...should be interesting!

More summer fun!

This weeks the kids and I kept very busy...... lunch dates, pizza parlors, bowling, Pump It Up...you name and we probably did it! With Dennis playing All Stars we have to keep swimming and pool activities to a minimum so there have been a lot of outings!

Arizona Diamondback Game

Today Judie, my mother-in-law, treated the boys and I to a Diamondbacks game at Chase Field. We all had a blast and the D-backs pulled out a win. The boys snacked on Panda Express and Peter Piper and after the game we raided the Team Shop. Thanks again for a great afternoon!

Diamondback All Stars 9/10

The games started this week. The boys are currently 1-1 and two more games scheduled this week. The boys are handling the heat surprisingly well. I know I couldn't go out and run in 110 degree heat. There are many "Cougar" players on the All Star team and those Cougars that aren't on the team came out to support the boys so it's been fun hanging out with our friends. Billy has made a new friend too, Cooper.....isn't he adorable? The two play "catch" together in between snow cones and hot dogs! Good Luck Diamondback!

Father's Day Weekend

Fathers Day Gift!

We stayed in the East Valley over the weekend for the Father's Day Tournament. The kids had a lot of fun swimming and playing with their buddies at the hotel. Saturday was a great day of baseball and the kids won the second game by a run rule. Saturday evening many of us headed to Hooters for dinner. Although I was not originally happy about the destination it turned out to be a great night. We sat in the game room and the boys ran wild with the pool tables and video games which allowed us adults to enjoy our adult beverages! The kids all got frisbees signed by the Hooter girls and they even got kissed by our waitress. You'll love the pictures! Sunday was a short day of baseball as the Cougars lost the first game by one run and did not make it into the finals. However, Dennis had a great game and despite the heat (112 degrees!) he made us proud. Sunday afternoon we celebrated Father's Day with flank steak and a trip to the bowling alley. The boys gave Dennis a personalized D-backs jersey with our name and the #2 (D's Cougar number) for Fathers Day. Enjoy the photos...... all from the new D300..which I LOVE!
