Summer is HERE!!!!

Today it was supposed to reach 101 so we hit the splash pad at the park. Val and Nevaeh as well as Brady and the kids joined us. Billy LOVES to play in the water and it was a great way to start the summer!

Mother's Day at PVCS

Today Billy had a special day planned for me to celebrate Mother's Day. He served me breakfast with a rose at preschool and sang me a lovely song. He also made me my own place mat and picture frame.

On Sunday, the boys surprised me with a Amazon Kindle! It took me a few weeks to bond with the new technology but it quickly became my new best friend! Thank you hubby and boys! I love you!!!

Cinco De Mayo Tourney!

Dennis played with the Black Sox during the Cinco De Mayo tourney at Big League Dreams in Gilbert. It was a perfect weekend for baseball. The weather was nice and cool for Arizona and the beer was cold! Saturday night we had a little surprise when all the lights went out in the ball park for about 40 minutes. Apparently a drunk driver crashed into a light pole before taking a dip in the lake at a golf course. Nice! I hope no one was hurt. The Sox won the play off game Sunday morning but then lost in the semi-finals. Fun times!

T-ball season is coming to an end. There are only two games left which is a good thing since the temp's are already in the triple digits! Billy has come along way in such a short time! I hope he wants to come back in the fall for more fun!

It's still baseball season.....

Billy has come along way with his t-ball in a few short months! He hits great off the tee, is a super fast base runner and is becoming more comfortable in the field. I think he prefers the pitcher position because he sees a lot of action! Here are a couple from Saturday's game.

Dennis has his first official tourney with the Black Sox this weekend! It should be fun. I heard he may be pitching so I'll go prepared with my camera! :)

Easter 2009

This Easter was relxed and uneventful! My sister and her family stayed in Santa Barbara since they just returned from Italy so we spent the day at my parents house. Judie, Sandy and the girls as well as Cassie, Nick and Makaya all celebrated spring with an egg hunt, BBQ, and boat ride. It was a perfect day! :)

Introducing the newest member of the Black Sox!

This last week was a very difficult one for us. After much consideration we decided to leave the Cougars. It was a bittersweet decision. The Cougars was D's first travel team and we've made a lot of friends there but we are also excited about what the future holds with the Black Sox! To any Cougar peeps out there I hope to see you on the baseball field soon! :)

The tourney this weekend went great. Dennis remains at second base and had two solid games despite a case of nervous jitters. The Black Sox were the number #1 seed after the pool play games. We were scheduled to play the championship game the next morning but it was rained out the the tourney was cancelled. On the bright side, the Black Sox were declared the winners and should be received their championship rings soon!
