Dennis celebrated his birthday with his friends yesterday afternoon with a party at Inside Pitch, which is an indoor batting facility! Lots of boys with baseball bats took to the cages for over an hour. Then the boys devoured several pizzas before they tore into the cake. My gosh can those boys eat!!! The highlight of the party was a few games of dodgeball! Thanks to all those that attended the party! Dennis had a wonderful time!

Opening Ceremonies
Little League had their annual Opening Ceremonies last weekend. Since it came a month after the games started they changed the name to Family Fun Day! I think it was 89 degrees in Phoenix that day and I have the sunburn to prove it. There was a parade of teams as well as team introductions and sponser acknowledgments! Thank you to Sherry's Pampered Pet's for the team sponsership!!!!! http://sherryspamperedpets.com/index.htm There was also a BBQ, bounce house, games and best of all a dunk tank. See post below!
Dennis meets the Dunk Tank!
As part of Little League Opening Ceremonies/ Family Fun Day there was a dunk tank. Coach John volunteered Dennis for this event and the kids had a blast "dunking" the coach!!! I think Dennis had a longer line of kids waiting to dunk him than anyone else! I'm sure he raised a lot of money for the league! My favorite pic's are the of Dennis and Billy taking turns to get dad soaked. I believe they went through the line twice!!!
Trying out a new position.......
On his tournament team, the Cougars, Dennis plays second base. However, in Little League the players rotate positions which give them an opportunity to play in different positions. Dennis has been pitching since the beginning of the season and now he can add "catcher" to his list of positions. Did I mention his team, the Tigers, are undefeated at 6-0? Way to go boys and coaches!!!

Challenger Game
Dennis plays Little League baseball and one of the teams in their league is the Challangers! It is a team of players with phyisical and mental disabilities that love to play baseball! Each team in the league is assigned a game to play with them and the kids from the other team assist the Challengers with catching, throwing, and batting! It was a wonderful expierence for both the Challengers and the Tigers...the team Dennis plays on. And Dennis was lucky enough to pitch to the Challengers for the first inning. We are all looking forward to playing with the Challengers again!

Getting ready for Easter!
This week we had an Easter themed playdate at Chloe's house. Chloe's mom provided hard boiled eggs for coloring and an egg hunt! The kids had a blast!! Billy colored all of his eggs PINK......go figure! Dennis helped with the egg hunt since he was the oldest. We are getting ready for the Easter Bunny. Tonight the boys are coloring eggs with their cousins that are in town from Santa Barbara. Stay tuned for a picture overload from the big day!
